Wyoming Trip. Can You Say Yeeehaw?

Here are more pictures from our trip to Wyoming last month.

The men's daily activity, playing video games in 3D.

GQ-ing it

And this is Wyatt's least favorite "housemate", my sister's dog, Harvey. Harvey who stained the carpet of our old apartment with his pee. Harvey who scratched our old aparment walls until some of the paint came off. Harvey who you better not leave in the house by himself or a cop will knock on your door because a neighbor complained of his non-stop barking and crying. Harvey, who despite all that, still melts my heart when he looks at me like this.

We had Christmas dinner at my brother-in-law's parents' house with the missionaries. Since both my husband and brother-in-law went on a mission, they had plenty to talk about with these men. After dinner they spent the rest of the evening playing cards.

Wright doesn't have McDonald's, Burger King, Olive Garden, etc. They have Subway and this restaurant (I forgot the name). So this place is the fancy place to eat in town. We ate here on our last night in Wright and there were only 4 customers. Me, Brandon, Justan, and Kristine. Haha. But I tell you, I'd pick this restaurant over the Cheese Cake Factory in Salt Lake City any day.

The food was t-t-t-tasty! tasty!

I don't know about you but I had never seen on a menu a steak as big as 32 oz. Must be very good because Justan ordered it.

Everytime I look at this pic, I feel like the moose is staring back at me. Don't you?

It was time to go back to Salt Lake the next day. :(

We just barely left Wright when we saw deers on the left side of the road as we were driving. There were like 10 of them but these 2 were running up and down the hill, one chasing the other. So I grabbed my camera and was lucky enough to snap a pic of these deers. If I lived in a small country town like Wright, I'd probably be chasing deers everyday to take pictures of them. :D

Wyatt's Day Out

Brandon and I are probably the only people on earth who walk a cat out. I mean, who does that? Others just let their cats walk out the door, then let them back in later. I kinda explained in one of my previous posts (read here) why Wyatt has to be on a leash whenever he's out.

I'm the one who always insists that Wyatt should be taken out for a walk. It was a very nice day and I felt bad for Wyatt for being inside the house all day everyday. His daily routine is to sit on the windowsill when he wakes up in the morning, nap on the bed at noon, and eat even if he's not hungry. It's been almost a year since the last time he stepped outside the house. So yesterday, I asked Brandon to take him out for a short walk.

fatso!

He had a hard time walking on the rocks.

While Brandon was following the cat, he tripped over the rocks and made a lot of noises. This scared Wyatt that he went so crazy. He was going to run away fast but Brandon was quick enough to stop him. Wyatt tried his best to escape from Brandon that his leash was already coming off, but Brandon managed to keep the cat held tight in his arms. In this picture, Brandon is petting Wyatt to calm him down. As you can see, his leash is off.

Wyatt was only out for less than 10 minutes but we were worried that if he stayed longer, he might try to run off again so we had to take him inside. Thus, his mean face in this picture. :P

The "Girl" Next Door

Brandon and I were leaving in 10 minutes for Church yesterday when we heard Wyatt meowing like he was very excited or happy. It's the same meow when he's watching birds from the windowsill and hear them chirping. It's funny when he's excited because he wags his tail continuously and fast then suddenly jumps off the window and runs around the apartment. So Brandon cheked if there were birds playing outside but he didn't see any, he saw a black cat instead. So we figured that Wyatt wanted to play with the kitty. But Wyatt has always been an indoor cat, I think we only let him out 2 or 3 times and we were with him until it was time for him to go back in. He goes really wild once he's out (which doesn't surprise us knowing that he's part Asian snow leopard), he runs on the apartment yard like a tiger chasing a prey. That's why we barely let him out. We just can't afford to lose him because we paid so much when we bought him from a Bengal cat breeder back in Florida. Another reason is that our neighbors' dogs are always outside.

The black cat obviously noticed Wyatt because the next thing we knew, the kitty was now on the windowsill too.

Look at his tail!

His hair was standing up but we knew for sure that he wasn't mad or felt threatened.

Awwww

I got closer to the window to take the picture above. I guess the black kitty noticed me and got scared because it jumped off the window sill. End of the cat scene. So Brandon and I finally headed to the door to leave. But guess who was waiting outside for the door to open?

The black kitty wanted to come in.

We found out later that the kitty was female and that she lives in the apartment unit right next to ours. When we came home from Church, the kitten next door was no longer outside and Wyatt was lonely again. :(
